Netflix India is streaming the fifth and final season of Food Wars! Anime Shokugeki no Soma, Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma: The Fifth Plate (Shokugeki no Sōma: Gō no Sara).

Young chef Soma enters the prestigious Totsuki Culinary Academy, where he must either emerge victorious in over-the-top culinary battles or face expulsion.
The anime premiered on April 10, but had delayed new episodes to mid-April due to the effects of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The season restarted its broadcast from episode 1 on July 3. Hong Kong content distributor MediaLink Entertainment Limited’s YouTube channel Ani-One is streaming the anime in India and streamed the second season on November 18.
The manga previously inspired four television anime series. The first anime season aired for 24 episodes from April to September 2015. The second season of the Shokugeki no Sōma: Ni no Sara anime series had 13 episodes aired in July-September 2016. The third season Shokugeki no Sōma: San no Sara premiered in October 2017, and the second half of the third season premiered in April 2018. The fourth season Shokugeki no Sōma: Shin no Sara premiered in October 2019. Netflix India began streaming the fourth season July 3.
Yūto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki released Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2012, and ended the series after a three-chapter epilogue in August 2019. Chef Yuki Morisaki is credited with cooperating for the manga. Viz Media released chapters of the manga weekly in English on its app and website, and also publishes the manga’s compiled book volumes in English. Shueisha also publishes the manga digitally in English on its MANGA Plus service.
