Netflix India to Add My Hero Academia Films on May 15

Netflix is listing the movie My Hero Academia: Two Heroes and the movie My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising for their premiere in India on May 15. The trailer listings for both these My Hero Academia movies are available in the coming soon section of the mobile app.

With Deku, All Might visits an old friend on the technologically advanced I-Island, when a gang of villains takes the whole city hostage.

Netflix describes My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising:

While putting their hero skills to use on the peaceful island of Nabu, the Class 1-A kids face a sudden attack from a formidable villain known as Nine.

Both the movies were premiered by PVR Cinemas on 12th Feburary & 12 th March respectivley. The film screened in in theaters in Mumbai, Delhi and NCR (National Capital Region), Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, and Kochi.

The upcoming third film is titled My Hero Academia The Movie: World Heroes’ Mission. It’s set to release in Japan on August 6, but no overseas release has been confirmed just yet. The whole 5 seasons of the My Hero Academia are available on Netflix India.

My Hero Academia is a Japanese superhero manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi. The story follows Izuku Midoriya, a boy born without superpowers (called Quirks) in a world where they have become commonplace, but still dreams of becoming a superhero. He is scouted by All Might, Japan’s greatest hero, who chooses Midoriya as his successor and shares his Quirk with him after recognizing his potential, and later helps him enroll him in a prestigious high school for heroes in training.
