Netflix has scheduled the release of Castlevania: Nocturne, the spinoff from Frederator Studios’ animated Castlevania series, simultaneously in India and worldwide on September 28.

This debut coincides with the recent launch of the television anime adaptation of Platinum End, a manga by Takeshi Obata and Tsugumi Ohba.

Set during the French Revolution in 1792, Castlevania: Nocturne follows Richter Belmont, a descendant of the original series’ protagonists Trevor and Sypha, alongside Maria Renard. These characters, known from the Castlevania: Rondo of Blood game, as well as Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, will take center stage in this new series.

The journey of Castlevania began with its first four episodes hitting Netflix screens worldwide in July 2017, followed by an eight-episode second season in October 2018, and a ten-episode third season in March 2020.
The fourth and final season of the original series streamed in May 2021, with each season gaining acclaim. Home video releases have been made available by Viz Media.

Shepherding the original series was director Sam Deats, while writer and executive producer Warren Ellis, alongside Fred Seibert, Kevin Kolde, and Adi Shankar as executive producers, brought the world of Castlevania to life.
