The Terminator anime series is coming as Netflix announced on Friday, that they are partnering with Skydance for an anime adaptation of the successful global movie franchise the Terminator. Anime studio Production I.G will be seeing animation production. Production I.G previously worked on Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 and B: The Beginning anime, which are also available on Netflix.

Mattson Tomlin will be the showrunner and executive producer. He previously wrote the script for Project Power on Netflix and co-wrote The Batman.

Terminator is an American media franchise created by James Cameron and Gale Anne Hurd. The franchise encompasses a series of sci-fi action films, comics, novels, and additional media, about an all-out war between Skynet’s synthetic intelligence, a network of self-aware military machines, and John Connor’s resistance forces comprising the survivors of the human race. Skynet’s most famous products for its genocidal targets are the various Terminator models, such as the T-800, which was portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the original Terminator movie in 1984. By 2010, the franchise had generated $ 3 billion in revenue. .
