In the upcoming August issue of Shogakukan’s Ciao magazine, it was announced that Rikka Kise will debut a new manga based on the recently launched anime series Pokémon Horizons: The Series. The manga, titled Pocket Monster Yorimichi Volteccers!! (Pokémon Detouring Volt Tacklers!!), will be a comedic take on the franchise. Look out for its release in the magazine’s next issue on August 3.

Additionally, manga artist Kahori Orito shared on their Twitter account that the final chapter of their manga Pocket Monster Liko no Takaramono (Pocket Monster Liko’s Treasure) was published in the same issue. This manga, which began on May 2 earlier this year, has reached its conclusion.
The Pokémon Horizons: The Series anime made its premiere on April 14 with an hour-long special. Scheduled to air on Fridays at 6:55 p.m., The Pokémon Company mentioned in an English press release that the anime will continue to be aired in 2023 and beyond.
The anime introduces new protagonists, Liko and Roy, who embark on an exciting journey together. Notably, it features Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly from the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games, as well as the Shiny form of the Legendary Pokémon Rayquaza. The anime also showcases Friede and Captain Pikachu, a professor and his Pokémon partner, who join forces with Liko and Roy in their battles.
