In the latest issue of Mag Garden’s Monthly Comic Garden magazine, readers were treated to the debut chapter of Kawo Tanuki’s exciting new manga, titled “Shinigami Kōjo no Kekkon” (Reaper Princess Marriage). Simultaneously, the manga made a splash with its first two chapters on Mag Garden’s online platform, MAGCOMI.

This intriguing manga weaves a tale of what can only be described as a “murderous love comedy.” The story revolves around Lucille, the younger sister of Emperor Chantal, who becomes entangled in a series of mysterious deaths involving her prospective marriage partners, most of whom happen to be powerful feudal lords.

As these engagement partners meet untimely ends one after another, the people have bestowed upon her the ominous moniker of the “Shinigami Princess.”
Notably, Kawo Tanuki, in collaboration with Choco Aya, previously brought us the captivating “Dragon Goes House-Hunting” manga in Monthly Comic Garden, which began its journey in December 2016 and concluded in December 2022.

On August 8, Mag Garden released the manga’s eagerly awaited 10th and final compiled volume. English-speaking fans will also be delighted to know that Seven Seas Entertainment is steadily releasing English versions of the manga, with the ninth volume slated for publication on October 17.
The success of “Dragon Goes House-Hunting” didn’t stop at the manga realm, as it inspired a television anime that premiered in April 2021. Funimation, keeping pace with its Japanese counterpart, provided streaming services for the anime, offering both subbed and dubbed versions to a global audience.

In addition to this, Tanuki and Aya delved into a “Dragon Goes House-Hunting” spinoff manga, which graced the pages of Monthly Comic Garden from January to May.
