Kadokawa and TROYCA have unveiled the second promotional video, “Side: Drivers,” along with a fresh key visual for their collaborative anime project, Overtake! This enticing preview was released on Sunday, showcasing captivating scenes and introducing the spirited opening theme “Tailwind,” sung by VTuber Kanae. Notably, the video also discloses the anime’s highly anticipated premiere date of October 1.
Scheduled to air on the AT-X channel at 10:00 p.m. (9:00 a.m. EDT) on October 1, the anime will also be broadcasted on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, BS11, TV Aichi, KBS Kyoto, Shizuoka Broadcasting System, and Iwate Asahi TV.

At its core, the narrative revolves around the thrilling world of Formula 4 (F4) motor sports. Kōya Madoka, a freelance photographer, grapples with a creative lull due to specific circumstances. Seeking inspiration, he ventures to Fuji International Speedway to pursue a story and unexpectedly crosses paths with Haruka Asahina, a high school F4 racer. In a sudden twist, Madoka’s heart races with newfound excitement after a prolonged emotional hiatus. This newfound fervor propels him to rally behind Haruka and the aspiring “Komaki Motors” youth team, united by a shared aspiration—to propel Haruka towards his dreams.
Fronted by Anan Furuya as Haruka Asahina and Katsuyuki Konishi as Kōya Madoka, the anime promises a fusion of passion, ambition, and youthful drive.

Overseeing the project is Katsuhiko Takayama, who previously handled series composition for Aldnoah.Zero and Two Car. Crafting the musical score is Kana Utatane, recognized for her work in The Legendary Hero is Dead!
