New Promo Video for The Great Cleric Anime Unveils Nasuo☆’s Opening Song

The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Broccoli Lion’s Seija Musō: Salaryman, Isekai de Ikiru Tame ni Ayumu Michi (The Great Cleric The Path a Salaryman Must Walk to Survive in a Fantasy World) novels has unveiled a captivating new promotional video ahead of its July 6th premiere.

This enticing preview treats fans to a glimpse of the series’ exhilarating opening theme song, “Bagu-chan” by the talented Nasuo☆.

The anime is set to debut and stream exclusively in advance on July 6 via ABEMA, beginning at 2:00 a.m. JST (effectively transitioning to July 7). Subsequently, on July 13 at 1:28 a.m. JST (effectively shifting to July 14), the anime will commence its broadcast on TBS. It will also be aired on BS11 and AT-X channels on July 14, on TV Hokkaido on July 21, and on TBS Channel 1 on July 22. Furthermore, starting from July 14, the anime will be available for streaming on other platforms across Japan.

Crunchyroll is set to stream the series, titled “The Great Cleric,” as it airs. Directing the anime will be Masato Tamagawa, known for his work on “The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt,” while Yokohama Animation Lab and Cloud Hearts handle the production. Keiichirō Ōchi, who worked on “Peach Boy Riverside,” takes charge of series composition.

Character designs are entrusted to Guonian Wang, recognized for their work on “Prince of Stride: Alternative.” The opening theme song, “Bagu-chan,” will be performed by Nasuo☆, and the ending theme song, “A New Day,” will be performed by Yuki Nakashima.

Vertical secured the rights to publish the manga adaptation of the popular light novel series (Japanese title: Seija Musō). The manga chronicles the journey of an average office worker who defies death and embarks on a new life in an alternate realm, bestowed with exceptional healing abilities.

The manga adaptation of Broccoli Lion’s “Seija Musō: Salaryman, Isekai de Ikiru Tame ni Ayumu Michi” (The Great Cleric The Path a Salaryman Must Walk to Survive in a Fantasy World) novels is based on the author’s serialized story on the “Shōsetsuka ni Narō” (Let’s Become Novelists) website since October 2015. Micro Magazine started printing the novels, featuring illustrations by sime, in August 2016.

J-Novel Club has begun publishing light novels in English. Hiiro Akikaze initiated a manga series in 2017, which is currently ongoing, and Kodansha USA Publishing is now bringing the English version of the manga to readers.
