The story revolves around a female protagonist with a unique ability: drugs have no effect on her. Set in modern Tokyo, the narrative takes place within Matori, a narcotics control unit operating under the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. In her new role, the protagonist recruits a diverse array of individuals to form teams of attractive and capable heroes for different missions. These teams comprise investigators, idols, writers, genius high school students, top designers, butlers, underground doctors, and others. The OVA adaptation focuses on the additional Narumi Seo character event map story, which was introduced in the original game back in April 2018. Notably, it showcases the heroes from the Seo Research Lab who were absent in the previous television anime.
The television anime of the Stand My Heroes smartphone game originally premiered in October 2019 and has since gained substantial popularity. The game itself was launched in 2016 and has achieved an impressive milestone of over 1 million downloads.
