(Last Updated On: September 17, 2023)

During Sony’s State of Play livestream on Thursday, Bandai Namco Entertainment unveiled an exciting expansion for their roleplaying game, Tales of Arise, titled “Beyond the Dawn.” This expansion is set to launch on November 9, available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Gamers can anticipate over 20 hours of fresh content, featuring new quests, dungeons, and formidable boss encounters.

The narrative of this expansion unfolds a year after the original game’s events. The storyline revolves around Alphen and The Six, who find themselves in a precarious position, oscillating between being hailed as the Liberating Hero of Dahna and despised as the Rights-Devouring Destroyer by the Renans.

Their path crosses with a young girl named Nazamil, the offspring of a Renan Lord and a Dhanan. The expansion delves into their quest to alter the destiny of this girl, who is destined to fall victim to the curse of the mask. Players will traverse the familiar yet evolved world with a closely bonded party, encountering fresh challenges along the way.

Beyond the Dawn will offer a rich gaming experience with the option for both English and Japanese voiceovers. Furthermore, players can enjoy text localizations in a variety of languages, including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Neutral Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean.

Tales of Arise, originally released in September 2021 for the Western and Japanese markets on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, garnered significant attention. The game faced a brief delay beyond its initial 2020 launch date, owing to the ambitious nature of the project.

Notably, Yusuke Tomizawa, known for his work on God Eater, assumed leadership of the franchise’s development team, starting with Tales of Arise. The esteemed studio ufotable was responsible for the game’s captivating animation, while the seasoned Tales of team artist Minoru Iwamoto served as art director for the first time in the franchise.
