The second season of the anime adaptation of Kumo Kagyu’s dark fantasy novel series, Goblin Slayer II, has unveiled a fresh visual and announced its premiere date of October 6th. The eagerly awaited anime is set to make its debut on Tokyo MX, AT-X, and BS11, followed by a subsequent airing on Sun TV. Fans can also catch the show on ABEMA, where it will be available for streaming a few hours prior to its television premiere.

Excitingly, the opening theme, titled “Entertainment,” will be performed by the talented Mili, while the ending theme, “Kasumi no Mukō e” (To the Other Side of the Mist), will be brought to life by Yuki Nakashima. Misato Takada, known for her work on Saiyuki Reload -ZEROIN-, takes the director’s chair at LIDEN FILMS for the upcoming series. Meanwhile, Takaharu Ozaki, who previously directed the first season of the anime at WHITE FOX, assumes the role of chief director. The ever-talented Hideyuki Kurata, recognized for his involvement in projects like Read or Die, Made in Abyss, and Kamichu!, continues to helm the series composition.

Hiromi Kato, celebrated for her work on Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut, lends her artistic touch to character design. Additionally, the music for the series will once again be crafted by Kenichiro Suehiro, acclaimed for his contributions to Golden Kamuy and Fire Force.
The inaugural season of the series made its Japanese premiere in October 2018, with Crunchyroll providing subtitles for the international audience during its broadcast. Funimation also offered an English-dubbed version of the show. Notably, the Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown theatrical anime episode saw its Japanese release in February 2020, with Crunchyroll making it available to viewers in July of the same year.
Kumo Kagyu’s dark fantasy novel series, Goblin Slayer, saw its first volume published by SB Creative in February 2016. Subsequently, Kōsuke Kurose (known for The IDOLM@STER Neue Green for Dearly Stars) embarked on an ongoing manga adaptation in Big Gangan in May 2016. Yen Press holds the licensing rights for both Kumo Kagyu’s Goblin Slayer novels and Kōsuke Kurose’s manga adaptation, with the series spawning spinoff novels and manga.
