J-Novel Club holds the novel license and offers the following story insight:

In a twist of fate, the overseer responsible for safeguarding Earth grapples with a disruption, inadvertently leading to Kaoru Nagase’s detachment from her corporeal form. What unfolds next is a predicament where the sole recourse lies in transporting her to a less technologically advanced realm.

Unyielding to this capricious outcome, Kaoru lays down a condition: the ability to concoct elixirs at will, endowed with tailored effects. Yet, her aspirations don’t halt there. A magical Item Box, the knack to comprehend and converse in all languages, and the youthful physique of her fifteen-year-old self are also on her wishlist. Empowered by these newfound abilities, Kaoru embarks on a quest to establish stability in this entirely new domain!

The series stars:

  • Moeka Koizumi as Emile
  • Haruki Iwata as BELLE
  • Nao Tōyama as Celestine
  • Tomoyo Takayanagi as Francette
  • Natsuki Kitagawa as Layette
  • Rin Kusumi as Kaoru

Nobuaki Nakanishi, known for works like “Koihime Musō,” “Shin Koihime Musō,” and “Kasimasi – Girl Meets Girl,” is taking the director’s chair for the anime at Jumondo studio. Adapting Sukima’s original character designs into animation is Chisato Kikunaga of “Don’t Hurt Me, My Healer!” fame.

Overseeing the series scripts is Takayo Ikami, acclaimed for contributions to series like “Penguindrum,” “Magical Girl Site,” and “Yuri Kuma Arashi.” Crafting the captivating music for the show is Hiroaki Tsutsumi, renowned for his compositions in “Dr. Stone” (all three seasons) and “Jujutsu Kaisen,” in collaboration with Pony Canyon.

The ending theme song, titled “Love is a potion,” is performed by the unit harmoe, composed of cast members Haruki Iwata and Moeka Koizumi. The story’s origin traces back to FUNA, who initiated it on the Shōsetsu-ka ni Narou (“Let’s Be Novelists”) website in 2015. Kodansha picked up the torch, commencing the publication of the novels in print with Sukima’s illustrative touch in June 2017.

Manga enthusiasts can delight in Hibiki Kokonoe’s adaptation of the novels. This manga journey found its starting point on Kodansha’s Suiyōbi no Sirius online manga section within the Nico Nico Seiga website in June 2017. English-speaking readers also have access to this manga marvel, thanks to J-Novel Club’s efforts.
