On Wednesday, Kadokawa unveiled significant updates for the upcoming anime adaptation of Penguin Box’s manga “Odekake Kozame” (Little Shark’s Outings).
They announced the talented lead voice actress, key members of the staff, unveiled the captivating main visual, and set the premiere date for August 1.

Kana Hanazawa takes on the role of Kozame-chan, a youthful shark protagonist.
Marina Maki, known for her work as an episode director on “The Rising of The Shield Hero Season 2,” “Management of a Novice Alchemist,” and “Kan Colle Season 2: Let’s Meet at Sea,” has been tapped as the director for the upcoming anime project at ENGI. Assisting her is Hiroaki Nagashima, who will be responsible for writing and supervising the scripts. Arisa Yoshii takes on the role of character designer, while Eiko Nishi showcases her talent as the color key artist. Akemi Sasaki brings her expertise as the compositing director of photography. The team is further strengthened by Kisuke Koizumi, the sound director at dugout, and Akiko Mutō, who will handle the sound effects. Accompanying the visuals is the captivating music composed by Yoshiaki Fujisawa, with music production credited to Kadokawa. Lastly, Rina Koguchi skillfully edits the anime, ensuring a seamless final product.
The anime is set to premiere on YouTube on August 1, and is also scheduled for a television broadcast. However, Kadokawa has not disclosed the specific date for the anime’s television premiere.

Penguin Box unveiled their manga via Twitter in June 2021. The manga’s third compiled volume hit Japanese shelves on May 30. This manga captures the wistful daily escapades of a youthful shark.
