The December issue of Kodansha’s Shonen Sirius magazine revealed on Wednesday that manga creator ONE (One-Punch Man, Mob Psycho 100) and artist Kyōtarō Azuma (The King of Fighters: A New Beginning) will launch a new manga titled Versus in the magazine’s next issue on November 26. ONE credits bose with the manga’s composition. This is its first new manga series in 10 years since launching Mob Psycho 100 in 2012.


The mag describes the manga as being set in a fable world in which human beings have been invaded and oppressed for masses of years after the emergence in their herbal enemy, the demons. The demons are led with the aid of one dark Lord and 47 generals. for the duration of this time, human beings have gathered from their quantity 47 heroes, who’re marshalling forces to combat off the demons, and begin their determined warfare for survival.
ONE launched in 2010 for the family adventure series Mob Psycho 100. This inspired three television anime series and a manga that ran in Shogakukan’s Manga ONE manga anthology, a smartphone app and live-action television show. The story has also inspired a live-action novel that had a limited theatrical release in Japan in 2018. Many enjoyed reading about high school teen Tōka Kōno’s development from first encounters with internet memes and Suicide Squad to navigating life in a world in which there are monsters and superheroes.


Manga creator Yūto Tsukuda began his long-running comic series about a boy whose body transforms into a bizarre mask-wearing super-hero. The One-Punch Man franchise became an international sensation, with fans clamoring for an anime adaptation. Its first season aired in Japan in 2015, and it has remained a favorite for international fans since. The second season aired in 2016, and an anime film debuted in Japan in 2018. The first season of the anime will have a third season. Supernatural film producer Justin Lin will direct a live-action film adaptation of the manga.
Azuma previously drew The King of Fighters: A New Beginning manga in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app. The manga launched in January 2018, and ended in September 2020. Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing the manga in English.
