In the latest update from Kodansha’s Dessert magazine, it was revealed last Friday that Renjuro Kindaichi’s beloved manga “N to S” (N & S) will be drawing to a close within the span of three forthcoming chapters.

Assuming no unforeseen delays, readers can expect the manga’s finale to grace the pages of the magazine in the much-anticipated February 2024 issue, set to make its debut in December.

Kindaichi embarked on this romantic comedy journey in January 2018 when “N to S” found its home in Dessert magazine. The heartwarming tale revolves around Niina Kinoshita, a young girl who finds herself head over heels for Saku Oda, a familiar face at the cafe where she diligently works part-time.

Their story unfolds as a simple coffee compliment blooms into a profound connection, ultimately leading them into the realm of love. However, Niina’s world takes an unexpected twist when Oda reappears in her life, not as a charming customer, but as her homeroom teacher during her second year of high school.
This isn’t Kindaichi’s first rodeo in the manga world. Notably, the mangaka introduced “Liar x Liar” to the pages of Dessert back in 2010, concluding the series in July 2017.
This captivating manga was later compiled into its 10th and final volume by Kodansha in September 2017. “Liar x Liar” not only secured its spot as the 10th ranked manga in Takarajimasha Inc.’s prestigious “Kono Manga ga Sugoi” ranking in 2012 but also earned a nomination for the 39th annual Kodansha Manga Awards in 2015.

The North American audience had the pleasure of enjoying these anime delights thanks to AN Entertainment’s licensing efforts. Additionally, Kindaichi graced the pages of Square Enix’s Young Gangan magazine with “LaLaLa.” Notably, the ongoing “Yūbe wa Otanoshimi Deshita ne” (It Was Fun Last Night) manga by Kindaichi can currently be found gracing the virtual pages of Gangan Online.
