In the past week, the dedicated team behind Otakon 2023 unveiled an exciting lineup of esteemed guests who will grace the event:

Otakon 2023 is slated for July 28-30 at the esteemed Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. This year’s extravaganza will be graced by renowned manga artist Kyoko Aiba, along with the esteemed presence of Macross artist Hidetaka Tenjin and the esteemed Macross anime director and mechanical designer Shoji Kawamori.
Distinguished composer Ryū Kawamura shall also bless the occasion. Additional esteemed guests include the talented voice actress Junko Iwao, visionary mechanical designer and director Shinji Aramaki, maestro composer Yasuharu Takanashi, virtuoso composer Shota Nakama, and the electrifying rock ensemble -yaiba-, who shall set the stage ablaze with their performance. Notable presence shall also be bestowed upon the revered voice actress and accomplished author Haruna Ikezawa.

Moreover, esteemed producers and a CG director from Orange shall grace the event, alongside gifted animators and artists from Maho Film. It is with great delight that the convention staff announced the esteemed presence of the president of Studio Trigger and an entourage of talented animators from the company.
On March 3, the event disclosed its COVID-19 guidelines for this year’s gathering. The revised policy states that attendees are not obliged to wear masks or provide proof of vaccination, as it adheres to “local and federal directives.”
