Minoru Yamaoka, renowned for his work on “Wakako-zake” and “Zo Zo Zombie,” takes the directorial helm at Jumondo for this exciting anime project. Collaborating with him is Fumihiko Shimo, the brilliant mind behind “Date A Live IV” and “Full Metal Panic!,” overseeing the series scripts.
The artistic vision is brought to life by the dynamic character design duo of Hitomi Kaiho, celebrated for her contributions to “Fairy Tail” and “Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic,” and Lo Ho Kim, known for his work as chief animation director on “Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer.”
Elevating the experience with an enchanting score is Kana Utatane, the talented composer behind “Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill” and “Nights with a Cat.”
J-Novel Club has embarked on the English release of the novels, offering readers a captivating narrative that unfolds in a world where Yumiella Dolkness, the seemingly typical villainess in an otome RPG, conceals a remarkable secret – she’s the enigmatic hidden boss. Yumiella’s past life was that of an introverted college student and avid gamer. Her determination to evade the clutches of the protagonists and secure a tranquil existence fuels her resolve in this new reality.
All she yearns for is a serene and uneventful life, but her innate gamer instincts compel her to embrace her astounding stats. Thus, she embarks on a journey to maximize her level, reaching the pinnacle at level 99. However, the unintended consequence of her power surge is the misconstrued belief that she’s the malevolent Demon Lord. Can this overpowered villainess reclaim the peace she has always craved?
The novel series, now comprising five enthralling volumes, has been embraced by English-speaking audiences through J-Novel Club’s dedicated efforts. Complementing the written narrative is Nokomi’s captivating manga adaptation, which debuted in 2020 and has since enthralled readers with its three volumes of stunning visuals and storytelling prowess.
