The second season of the anime aired consecutively from July 8, 2020, to March 24, 2021, and with its thrilling conclusion, fans have eagerly awaited new content.

Their patience was rewarded when the announcement of the third season of Re: Zero was made, along with a captivating key visual in March 2023. To add to the excitement, a new key visual was revealed during the MF Bunko festival stream on July 23rd, 2023.

The striking key visual for the third season showcases beloved characters such as Felt, Anastasia Hoshin, Priscilla Barielle, Emilia, and Crusch Karsten, all standing amidst the ruins of a particular kingdom. Each character represents a political candidate of their respective kingdoms, hinting at the upcoming political conflicts in the series.

As of now, there is no specific release date for the third season, but fans can look forward to the trailer’s release in the near future.

The third season of Re: Zero will adapt the fifth arc of the light novel series, starting from volume 16 and extending to volume 20. This arc, titled ‘Stars That Engrave History,’ follows a chaotic and dangerous visit to Priestella, taking place a year after the events of the second season’s arc 4.

Re: Zero, written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shinichirou Ootsuka, is an award-winning light novel series that began publishing in 2014 under the Kadokawa corporation’s MF Bunko imprint. The series also had a critically acclaimed web novel version, which was later licensed by Kadokawa and continues to be published alongside the light novel.

In 2016, Studio White Fox brought the Re: Zero anime adaptation to life, further cementing its popularity among fans and critics alike.
