During the MF Bunko J Summer School Festival livestream event on Sunday, fans were treated to exciting reveals for the highly anticipated third season of the Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- anime. A captivating new teaser visual was unveiled, leaving viewers eager for what’s to come in this beloved series.
But that’s not all! The event also showcased a stunning new illustration for the Re: Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu Witch’s Re:surrection smartphone game, promising immersive adventures in the world of Re:ZERO.

To rewind a bit, the first anime season of Tappei Nagatsuki’s Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- light novel series premiered in April 2016. Crunchyroll played a significant role by streaming the series simultaneously with its Japanese airing, allowing fans worldwide to be part of the excitement.
The anime’s popularity led to the creation of two original video anime (OVA) volumes, namely Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Memory Snow and Re:ZERO – Starting Life in Another World – The Frozen Bond. Both OVAs found their way to Crunchyroll’s platform, further delighting the fanbase.
Building on the success of the first season, Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Director’s Cut premiered in January 2020. This revamped version of the initial 25-episode season featured some new footage and a smoother one-hour timeslot format, enriching the overall experience for viewers. Crunchyroll continued to be the go-to streaming platform for this Director’s Cut.
Despite facing delays due to the impact of COVID-19 on production, the anime’s second season finally graced our screens in July 2020.
With its latter half arriving in January 2021, Crunchyroll once again offered fans the opportunity to follow the gripping narrative as it unfolded in Japan.
