Re:Zero Browser Game With Original Story to Launch in Japan this July

The game company EXNOA announced on Monday that they would be releasing the browser game Re: Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu: Kinsho to Nazo no Seirei (Re: ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- The Forbidden Book and the Mysterious Spirit) from DMM Games in July becomes.

Re: Zero Light Novel writer Tappei Nagatsuki maintains the original story for the game. Konomi Suzuki plays the theme song “Crossroads”. The story begins when Fene, the ghost from a forbidden book, rescues Subaru, who has been cornered by Volgarm.

Sumire Uesaka speaks the new character Fene, the ghost of a forbidden book. Shiina Natsukawa also plays the new character Coleena, a mysterious girl who claims to be an adventurer. Characters from the series will also appear in the game, including Subaru, Emilia, Rem, Ram, and Felt.

Spike Chunsoft and Numskull Games’ Re: ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-: The Prophecy of the Throne (Re: Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu – Itsuwari no Ōsen Kōho) was released in January in Japan and North America for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.

Re: Zero – Starting Life in Another World is a Japanese light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shin’ichirō Ōtsuka. The story revolves around Subaru Natsuki, a hikikomori who is suddenly transported to another world on the way home from the supermarket. The series was initially published on the Shosetsuka ni Narō website from 2012. 27 light novels as well as four volumes of side stories and six collections of short stories were published by Media Factory under their MF Bunko J imprint.

The first three arcs of the series have been converted into separate manga series. The first, by Daichi Matsue, was released between June 2014 and March 2015. The second, by Makoto Fugetsu, has been published by Square Enix since October 2014. Matsue released the third adaptation in May 2015, which was also released by Media Factory, Media Factory has released two anthology manga with stories by different artists. An anime television series adaptation by White Fox aired April 4, 2016 through September 19, 2016, starting with a one-hour special.

The first of two OVAs based on the series was released on October 6, 2018, and the second OVA was released on November 8, 2019. In March 2017, the game developer released 5pb. published a visual novel based on the series. A second season was scheduled to premiere in April 2020, but has been postponed to July 2020 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The second season aired in split-cour format, with the first half airing from July 8 to September 30, 2020 and the second half from January 6 to March 24, 2021.
