The fourth season of the anime initially debuted in October 2022, treating viewers to a thrilling run of episodes 1-6 (37-42 in the series). However, the broadcast abruptly halted as devastating news struck the production team. Regrettably, on November 1, a cherished member of the main staff, whose name remains undisclosed, tragically passed away. This irreplaceable individual played a pivotal role in the anime’s creation, rendering their loss truly insurmountable. Following thoughtful deliberation between the production committee and Brains Base, the esteemed studio behind the show, it was decided that episodes 7-13 of the fourth season (episodes 43-49 in total) would be postponed to honor the memory of this indispensable contributor.
The anime series recommenced airing on April 3, unveiling its inaugural episode (the 37th episode in the anime’s entirety).
Brains Base has taken over animation duties for the upcoming season, stepping in for Geno Studio. Chief director Hitoshi Nanba has been replaced by Shizutaka Sugahara (known for D-Frag!). The series scripts will be overseen once again by Noboru Takagi. Kenichi Ohnuki, the previous character designer, will be succeeded by Takumi Yamakawa. The opening theme song, “NEVER SAY GOODBYE feat. Mummy-D,” will be performed by Ali, while the ending theme song, “Subete ga Soko ni Arimasu You Ni” (I Pray That Everything Will be There), will be performed by THE SPELLBOUND.

In April 2018, the inaugural season of the television anime aired, captivating audiences. Crunchyroll promptly streamed the series, providing English subtitles alongside its Japanese broadcast, while Funimation catered to viewers’ preferences by offering an English dub. Continuing the excitement, the second season debuted in October of the same year. Crunchyroll maintained its streaming service, ensuring fans didn’t miss a beat, while Funimation answered the demand with an English dub shortly thereafter. The third season, premiering in October 2020, witnessed Crunchyroll once again providing the simultaneous streaming of the anime as it aired in Japan, while Funimation faithfully delivered an English dub to their dedicated audience.
