On Friday, Kadokawa unveiled nine additional cast members for the anime adaptation of Akira Amano’s manga “Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective.” The anime’s “1st season” made its debut on October 2 on AT-X, Tokyo MX, and various other channels.

Crunchyroll is currently streaming the series as “Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions.”

Heading the anime’s direction is Shōta Ihata, known for works like “Girlish Number” and “The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent,” while Wataru Watari, who has previously contributed to both light novels and anime scripts for “Girlish Number,” is supervising the series scripts.

Masakazu Ishikawa, renowned for his work on “Squid Girl” and “The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent,” is handling character design adaptation for animation. The music composition is in the capable hands of Yo Tsuji, known for “Miss Hokusai.” Additionally, Unison Square Garden performs the opening theme “Ikenai fool logic,” and the rock band hockrockb delivers the ending theme “Lipsync.”
Amano, the creative mind behind “Reborn!” and “elDLIVE,” launched the manga on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website and app back in October 2020. The 12th volume of the manga was published by Shueisha on October 4.

“MANGA Plus” is the platform responsible for digitally releasing the manga in English. The narrative follows the unique partnership of Ron Kamonohashi, a private investigator laden with peculiar quirks, and Totomaru Ishiki, a well-intentioned yet somewhat dimwitted police detective. Together, they embark on solving the most perplexing mysteries, presenting a thrilling detective story tailored for a new generation.
