Muse India YouTube channel has recently started streaming the Saiyuki Reload Blast anime adaptation, based on Kazuya Minekura’s popular manga. The series takes place in a magical world where humans and yokai coexist on a peaceful continent called “Shangri-La.” However, a catastrophic event known as the “Calamity” causes all yokai to rampage, disrupting the balance of the continent. In an effort to stop Gyumaoh’s resurrection experiments, the Three Aspects venture westward towards India, encountering dangerous battles along the way.

This anime is not your typical adventure, as it combines elements of science, magic, and ancient mythology to create a unique and captivating world. The 12-episode series premiered in Japan in July 2017 and has now made its way to India via Muse Asia.
What makes this adaptation even more interesting is that it is the first Saiyuki anime not animated by Pierrot, but instead by Platinum Vision (known for Servamp). The talented team behind this anime includes director Hideaki Nakano, who worked with script supervisor Kenji Konuta (known for Library War, Ace of Diamond, Blood Lad) on Aoharu x Machinegun and Servamp. Additionally, character designs were done by Youko Satou (known for Dog & Scissors).
