Sexy Tanaka-san TV Show’s Theme Song by LE SSERAFIM Revealed

On Wednesday, NTV made an exciting announcement, revealing that the K-pop sensation LE SSERAFIM is set to perform the theme song titled “Dress Code (Prod. imase)” for the upcoming live-action adaptation of Hinako Ashihara’s beloved manga, “Sexy Tanaka-san.” Notably, this enchanting song is produced by the talented singer-songwriter imase.

As a tantalizing preview, the series’ official Twitter account has also unveiled a sneak peek of this musical gem.

The highly-anticipated live-action series is scheduled to make its debut on NTV, gracing screens on October 22 at 10:30 p.m. JST. Haruka Kinami takes the lead as Kyōko Tanaka, the central character, while Meru Nukumi portrays the role of Akari Kurahashi.

Hinako Ashihara’s manga revolves around the lives of two intriguing women. Kyōko, a diligent office worker in the accounting department, appears to be an ordinary woman in her forties. However, she hides a captivating secret life as a belly dancer known as Sali. On the other hand, there’s Akari, a charming 23-year-old temporary worker and Kyōko’s colleague.

The additional cast members include:

  • Gōki Maeda as Kazuki Konishi
  • Katsuya Maiguma as Kōsuke Shōno
  • Ken Yasuda as Keito Miyoshi
  • Kazuma Kawamura (The Rampage from Exile Tribe) as Shingo Nakahara

In her relentless pursuit of marriage, Akari believes that her youth and cuteness are her sole assets, attending numerous mixers as she senses time slipping away, all the while grappling with emptiness and loneliness. Their worlds collide when an unexpected event unveils Kyōko’s hidden talent, and Akari slowly finds herself admiring her enigmatic colleague.

Ashihara introduced this captivating manga in Shogakukan’s Anikei Petite Comic magazine in 2018, and it continues to enthrall readers to this day. Just this week, Shogakukan released the seventh compiled volume of the manga.

Notably, Viz Media has previously delighted English-speaking readers with Ashihara’s work, releasing the 10-volume “Sand Chronicles” manga.

The company also made available Ashihara’s “SOS” manga, which is a collection of short stories in a single volume. Additionally, Tokyopop published Ashihara’s four-volume “Forbidden Dance” manga in English. Ashihara’s artistic prowess also inspired a live-action television series adaptation of the “Piece” manga in 2012.
