Get ready anime fans, the beloved Sgt. Frog series is landing on Sony Yay! Based on Mine Yoshizaki’s hit manga, this comedy-packed anime follows the misadventures of the frog-like Sergeant Keroro and his platoon as they attempt to invade Earth, but end up getting taken in by an average teenager named Fuyuki Hinata and his sister Natsumi.

The anime originally ran from 2004-2011 and spawned five feature films.

According to the third-party TV guide app “What’s On India: TV Guide App”, the Sgt. Frog anime will air on Sony Yay starting January 16th at 8:30 am IST and 3:00 pm IST, weekdays. Sony Pictures Networks India announced on October 27th that it will air the anime as part of a new slate of programming.

In the series, Sarge soon settles into the rhythm of modern Tokyo and becomes addicted to anime and making plastic models, while the Hinata household is turned upside down.
North American manga publisher Tokyopop previously released 20 volumes of the original manga in English and Discotek Media released the anime on Blu-ray Disc in North America.
Sony Yay is home to other popular children’s anime such as Obocchama-kun and 1986’s Robotan. It recently began airing the iconic Naruto anime on August 15th. Don’t miss out on the hilarious antics of Sgt. Frog starting January 16th on Sony Yay!
