Anime fans, get ready for an epic new series coming next winter! The official Twitter account for the Solo Leveling manhwa anime adaptation has released a teaser promotional video and first key visual, revealing that the highly anticipated anime will be hitting screens soon.
The story is set in a world where gates have appeared, connecting our world with a dangerous alternate dimension, and giving certain humans supernatural powers. These individuals are known as “hunters” and they make a living by conquering dungeons inside the gates. But when the weakest hunter of all mankind, Jinwoo Sung, gets fatally injured while exploring a dungeon, he is given a chance to level up and become stronger than anyone else.
Directed by Shunsuke Nakashige (Mother of the Goddess’ Dormitory) and written by Noboru Kimura (Gundam Build Divers, Nyaruko: Crawling with Love!), the anime series promises to be a thrilling adventure, with stunning character designs by Tomoko Sudo (Alice in Borderland, Fragtime), and a pulse-pounding score by Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan, Blue Exorcist, Kill la Kill, Mobile Suit Gundam UC).
Originally launched on Webtoon services in March 2018, the Solo Leveling manhwa series has been a fan-favorite, ending its run in December 2021. English readers can enjoy the manhwa and original novel series through Yen Press, while Kadokawa publishes the series in Japanese under the title Ore Dake Level-Up na Ken (I’m the Only One Who Has Leveled Up).
Excitingly, Crunchyroll will be streaming the anime outside of Asia, making it accessible to fans worldwide. So get ready to level up and embark on an unforgettable adventure with Solo Leveling!
