Solo Leveling Manhwa to Get Live-Action Korean Adaptation”

In an exclusive interview with L’Internaute on Thursday, Heaeun Kwak, the creative director of D&C Webtoon, unveiled exciting news. It was disclosed that a live-action Korean adaptation is currently in development for the immensely popular Solo Leveling manhwa, originally created by writer Chugong and the late artist DUBU (REDICE Studio).

The manhwa, an adaptation of Chugong’s Solo Leveling novel series, featuring exquisite illustrations by DUBU, first made its debut on Webtoon services back in March 2018 and concluded its riveting narrative in December 2021. English-speaking audiences have been able to enjoy both the manhwa and the original novel series thanks to Yen Press’s dedicated efforts.

For Japanese readers, Kadokawa has published the manhwa under the title “Ore Dake Level-Up na Ken” (I’m the Only One Who Has Leveled Up), with the 14th volume having graced the shelves on September 22.

Notably, this beloved manhwa has also sparked immense anticipation by inspiring an upcoming anime adaptation set to premiere in January. Crunchyroll, which thrilled fans by announcing this adaptation during its Anime Expo industry panel in July 2022, offers an enticing glimpse into the story:
