The television anime adaptation of Piroya’s manga “Dekoboko Majo no Oyako Jijō,” known as “The Family Circumstances of the Imbalanced Witch,” revealed its theme song artists. Nana Mizuki, the lead voice actress, lends her talent to the opening theme “Sugar Doughnuts,” while the closing theme “Welcome!” is skillfully performed by the band angela.

At the heart of this comedic tale is Alissa, a solitary witch residing in the woods. Her world takes a whimsical turn when she discovers a human infant, whom she affectionately names Viola.

Through 16 years of nurturing, Viola matures beyond expectations, blurring the lines of their parent-child dynamic. This series navigates their hilarious relationship, where appearances play tricks on identifying the true parent and child.
In this enchanting narrative, Nana Mizuki takes on the role of Viola (pictured on the right), while Aoi Koga portrays Alissa (depicted on the left). Joining this talented duo are the following cast members:
- Romi Park as Lyra
- Takaya Hashi as Phoenix
Kana Hanazawa lends her voice to the narration.
Masahiro Takata, known for his work on “Libra of Nil Admirari” and “High-Rise Invasion,” directs the anime at A-Real. He also oversees the sound direction at Saber Links. Leading the series scripts is GyroKnuckle, while character design is in the skilled hands of Miwa Yoshida, recognized for her key animation contributions to “The Seven Deadly Sins” and “Sword Art Online: Alicization.”
Risa Arai takes charge of prop design, while Risa Nakamura assumes the role of color key artist. Masaaki Kawaguchi spearheads the art direction, and Masato Makino captures the visuals as the compositing director of photography. Handling editing duties is Masaki Utsunomiya from Zero-G. The musical score comes to life under the guidance of the talented composer myu.

The manga, initiated by Piroya, made its debut on Flex Comix Inc.’s Comic Meteor platform in July 2019. Readers witnessed the release of the manga’s fifth compiled volume on April 12, thanks to the efforts of Flex Comix Inc.
