Sweat and Soap Manga Gets Live-Action Show, Premiere February 3

On Friday, MBS, one of the biggest broadcasting channels in Japan, made a new Live-Action show for the year. It is announced that Sweat and Soap (or Ase to Sekken in Japan) by Kintetsu Yamada gets a Live-Action adaptation. 

MBS is the producer and distributor of the Sweat and Soap show which will premiere on February 3rd 2022. It will air in the “Drama Tokku” programming block of the MBS channel. Moreover, they also released a key visual which is a remake of the original Manga’s volume cover.

Voice Actors: 

  1. Kanta Sato as Kotaro Natori
  2. Yuno Ohara as Asako Yaeshima

Along with these vice actors, the director of the series is Shuhei Shibue and Yuki Kumagai. And also the scriptwriter and composer are Moral (known for Way of the Househusband Live Action Show) and Tete Inoue. 

The Sweep and Soap Mang debuted in 2018 and ended in 2021 with its last volume in May. Kodansha Comics is the publisher and distributor of English Comics. Below you will get the symptoms of the story: 

Asako’s living her dream, working at the toiletry maker Lilia Drop. Little do her coworkers know, the reason she loves the company so much is that she’s ashamed of her body odour, and their soap is the only thing that does the trick. So when the company’s lead product developer, a perfuming genius, approaches her in the lobby and wonders what “that smell” is, she’s terrified … but could it be … that he likes it? And, even more, surprising to Yae … does she like him?

In simpler terms, it will give you office romance like Watakoi but the Sweat and Soap also give you a realistic feel of the real-life workspace.
