On Monday, GKIDS made an exciting announcement regarding the North American premiere of The First Slam Dunk. This highly anticipated anime film, based on Takehiko Inoue’s popular basketball manga, will be showcased at this year’s Anime Expo event on July 3, precisely at 12:00 p.m. PDT. The screening is scheduled to take place at the Main Events Hall within the Los Angeles Convention Center. Notably, the first 2,500 attendees will be presented with a delightful souvenir booklet accompanying the film.

GKIDS has further revealed its plans to release the movie in theaters across the United States and Canada during the upcoming summer season. Fans can look forward to enjoying the film in two versions: an English dub and the original Japanese audio accompanied by English subtitles.
