The Misfit of Demon King Academy Anime Resumes Second Season on July 8

The popular light novel-turned-anime series, ‘The Misfit of Demon King Academy: History’s Strongest Demon King Reincarnates and Goes to School with His Descendants(Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha: Shijou Saikyou no Maou no Shiso, Tensei shite Shison-tachi no Gakkou e Kayou),’ is set to resume broadcasting its second season on July 8, late night on TOKYO MX and other platforms.

The series, originally serialized on the novel submission site ‘Shōsetsuka ni Narō,’ had commenced its new season earlier this year in January but had to halt due to the surging COVID-19 cases. Now, fans can anticipate the series resuming from the first episode, marking a fresh start.

‘The Misfit of Demon King Academy’ is a Dengeki Bunko (KADOKAWA) light novel penned by author Autumn and illustrated by Yoshinori Shizuma. The compelling narrative revolves around the brutal Demon King Anos Voldigoad who, after reincarnating 2000 years later, enrolls in a demon king academy. Despite his monumental power, he is branded as a ‘misfit’ as his abilities defy measurement.

The first season of the anime was broadcasted from July to September in 2020, winning rave reviews and a dedicated fanbase for its unique storyline and compelling characters.

The recommencement of the second season this July signals a return to the enthralling world of Anos Voldigoad, inviting viewers to embark on new adventures with the indomitable demon king and his descendants.
