The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior 2nd Promo Video / Opening Theme

On Thursday, the official website for the television anime adaptation of Tenichi and Suzunosuke’s light novel series, titled “The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior” (Higeki no Genkyō to naru Saikyō Gedō Last Boss Joō wa Min no tame ni Tsukushimasu.), unveiled the second promotional video. The video provides a glimpse of the opening theme song titled “Kyūseishu” (Savior), performed by Tsukuyomi.

The website also unveiled the show’s premiere date of July 6 and announced additional cast members. The series is set to debut on Tokyo MX and BS11 on July 6, followed by its airing on MBS on July 7. In Japan, the show will be available for streaming on various platforms such as ABEMA, U-NEXT, Anime Hōdai, and other services. HIDIVE has secured the streaming rights for the anime.

Norio Nitta, known for his work on Kami-sama Minarai: Himitsu no Cocotama, takes the director’s chair for the anime at OLM Team Yoshioka. Joining the team is Deko Akao, the talented series composition writer behind Pokémon: Journeys and Noragami. Bringing life to the characters is Hitomi Kōno, the brilliant character designer. Collaborating on the captivating music are Hanae Nakamura, Tatsuhiko Saiki, Kanade Sakuma, and Junko Nakajima. The anime’s ending theme song, “PRIDE,” will be performed by the talented ChoQMay.

Pride Royal Ivy, at the tender age of eight, realizes her reincarnation as the future malevolent queen and ultimate antagonist of an otome game. Equipped with razor-sharp wit, extraordinary powers, and authority as the crown princess, she embraces her new life. However, upon discovering this dark destiny, she abruptly abandons her villainous intentions and instead resolves to protect the male love interests, employing cunning tactics to save as many as she can! Can this final boss defy expectations and earn the adoration of her kingdom? Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing both the original light novels and the manga adaptation in English. The story, which Tenichi began serializing on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in April 2018, is still ongoing. Illustrated by Suzunosuke, Ichijinsha started publishing the story in print editions in June 2019.

The manga adaptation by Bunko Matsuura debuted on the Zero-Sum Online website in March 2020 but unfortunately faced cancellation due to the artist’s health issues. Ichijinsha intends to continue the manga through a new serialization, although concrete plans are yet to be determined.
