Tokyo Comic Convention Co., Ltd. (President: Mitsuaki Munegumi) was scheduled to be held at Makuhari Messe from December 3rd (Friday) to December 5th (Sunday), 2021 “Tokyo Comic Convention 2021” In consideration of the health and safety and health of visitors, performers, and related parties, Organizers have decided to cancel the event due to the impact of the spread of the new corona infection.
“Tokyo Comic Con” has been popping every year since the first in 2016, providing communication with famous overseas actors and famous artists, props used in movies (exhibition and shooting of props, places for cosplayers to interact with each other, etc.) As a cultural festival, we have been enthusiastic and impressed by the fans every year.
All the people concerned have been preparing for this year’s event, but Organizers have decided that they have to cancel the event, giving top priority to the safety and security of the visitors. They has sincerely apologized to everyone who was considering participating in this event for making such a decision.
However, it has been officially decided to hold the 1st “Osaka Comic Convention (Osaka Comic Con)” and “Tokyo Comic Convention 2022 (Tokyo Comic Con 2022)” in 2022! From next year, “Tokyo Comic Con” and “Osaka Comic Con” will be held twice a year, and Organizers plan to have more opportunities for everyone to enjoy.
