The second installment of the television anime series, “Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki 2nd Stage” (Jaku Chara Tomozaki-kun 2nd Stage), based on Yūki Yaku’s light novel series, “Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki,” has unveiled its second teaser visual on the official website. The highly anticipated new season is set to premiere in January 2024.
The second season of the anime welcomes back the familiar cast and crew, ensuring continuity in both talent and production.

Shinsuke Yanagi, the esteemed director of “Angel’s 3Piece” and “The Ryuo’s Work Is Never Done!”, is set to helm the second season of the anime, which will be produced by project No.9. Fumihiko Shimo, known for his exceptional work on “The Ryuo’s Work Is Never Done!” and “Myriad Colors Phantom World,” will once again be in charge of overseeing the series scripts, ensuring a seamless continuation. Additionally, Akane Yano, the talented character designer behind “The Ryuo’s Work Is Never Done!” and “High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even In Another World,” will return to bring her unique artistry to the characters once more.
Exciting news for fans awaits, as the first season of the anime is scheduled for a rebroadcast in Japan on BS11, commencing on July 3. Originally premiering in January 2021, the series gained widespread popularity. Funimation, the renowned streaming platform, not only simulcast the anime as it aired in Japan but also provided an English dub for an even broader audience to enjoy. Funimation aptly describes the captivating storyline that unfolds within the series.
Tomozaki Fumiya, an adept gamer, finds himself at odds with fitting in, yearning for a sense of belonging. Trapped in a world devoid of defined guidelines for triumph and a gameplay that lacks favoritism, the realm of reality appears insurmountable for an individual like him. However, akin to any inexperienced player, what he truly craves are a set of tactics and the guidance of a seasoned contender like Aoi Hinami. It is through her tutelage that Tomozaki hopes to amass the necessary expertise for his ascent.
The anime additionally featured a pair of OVA episodes which were included as bonus content in the third and fourth Blu-ray Disc and DVD volumes of the series, released in May and June 2021 correspondingly. These episodes were also made available for streaming on Funimation’s platform.
