Voice actors play a significant role in every anime. After all, they are the ones that give a voice to the animated characters that people are so fond of. Getting the right voice actor for a character is extremely hard. That is, you wouldn’t want Naruto’s voice actor on Sukuna. While some deliver outstanding performance, there are some who go beyond that. These are 10 famous Japanese Voice Actors who went Plus Ultra. This list don’t rank any one.

Mamoru Miyano

If you remember Kira laughing, then you’ll also remember the goosebumps you got while watching it. Famous for its work on Light Yagami, Miyano began his career as a voice actor in 1990 and as a pop and rock singer in 2007. He has received numerous accolades, including “best musical performance” in the sixth and eighth Seiyuu Awards, as well as “best lead actor” at the 2011 Newtype Awards. Mamoru Miyano is one of Japan’s most well-known voice performers. He was born on June 8, 1983, in Saitama Prefecture, Japan, and is also a musician.

Some of his prominent works are – Light Yagami in Death Note, Okabe Rintarou in Steins;Gate.

Hiroshi Kamiya

If you also love Levi’s ‘KENNYYYYYY!’, then all the credit goes to Hiroshi Kamiya. On January 28, 1975, in Matsudo, Chiba, he was born. Hiroshi Kamiya’s voice is noted for its authority, making it ideal for characters like Akashi and Levi who are cool. He works with Aoni Production and has received awards for “Best Lead Actor” and “Best Personality” at the Third Seiyuu Awards, as well as “Best Supporting Actor” at the Second Seiyuu Awards.

Jun Fukuyama

The third on this list is none other than the voice of the ‘Demon Emperor’ Lelouch Vi Britannia. Jun Fukuyama is a versatile vocalist who has offered his talents to memorable characters such as Lelouch and Koro-sensei. He occasionally provides his voice to Japanese dubs of Western media like Game of Thrones and Harry Potter, in addition to his anime work. Some of his notable works are Lelouch Lamperouge – Code Geass, Yukio Okumura – Ao no Exorcist, Koro-sensei – Assassination Classroom, Yuuta Togashi – Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions, Kimihiro Watanuki – xxxHolic.

Yūki Kaji

Eren Jaeger’s TATAKAE will always be remembered by his fans. Yuki Kaji, a veteran voice actor who has worked in the profession since 2004, created Eren Jaeger’s distinctive scream. Kaji runs a web radio show and a variety show in addition to supplying voices for a number of anime characters. He was also a member of a four-person singing group at one point. He is popular for various other works like Todoroki Shōto – My Hero Academia, Speed-O’Sound Sonic – One-Punch Man, Meliodas – The Seven Deadly Sins, Issei Hyodo in High School DxD, Eren Jaeger – Attack on Titan.

Daisuke Ono

Daisuke Ono is well known for his portrayal of Sebastian Michaelis, “one heck of a butler.” He works at Mausu Production and was born on May 4, 1978, in Sakawa, Takaoka District, Chi Prefecture, Japan. He earned the “Best Voice Actor” award at the 4th Seiyuu Award, as well as the “Best Personality in Radio” award at the Afachan Asia 2015, alongside Kamiya. He’s also known for his collaborations and parts with fellow seiyuu Hiroshi Kamiya. Other voice actings include Erwin Smith from Attack on Titan, Shizuo Heiwajima from Durarara!!!, and Sinbad from Magi.

Yuuki Aoi

Aoi Yabusaki, best known by her stage as Aoi Yki (born March 27, 1992), is a Japanese actress, voice actor, and singer who is represented by Pro-Fit. She has also voiced Komachi Hikigaya in My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected, Tanya von Degurechaff in The Saga of Tanya the Evil, Lumine in Genshin Impact, Krul Tepes in Seraph of the End, Madoka Kaname in Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Diane in The Seven Deadly Sins, Tamaki Kotatsu in Fire Force, and Kumoko/Shiraori in So I’m a Spider, So What?

Kana Hanazawa

Kana Hanazawa (Japanese actress, voice actor, and singer) was born on February 25, 1989. She is best known for her roles as Nadeko Sengoku in Monogatari, Anri Sonohara in Durarara!!, Angel / Kanade Tachibana in Angel Beats!, Mayuri Shiina in Steins;Gate, Akane Tsunemori in Psycho-Pass, Rize Kamishiro in Tokyo Ghoul, and Angel / Kanade Tachibana in Angel Beats!, in March Comes in Like a Lion, The Quintessential Quintuplets, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba as Hinata Kawamoto, Ichika Nakano, and Mitsuri Kanroji, respectively.

Saori Hayami

Saori Hayami (born May 29, 1991) is a Japanese singer and voice actress. She is signed to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Japan as a singer. Hayami was named Best Supporting Actress at the 10th Seiyu Awards. Yukino Yukinoshita in My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected, Yumeko Jabami in Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler, Miyuki Shiba in The Irregular at Magic High School, and Yumeko Jabami in Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler are some of her notable voice roles. Boruto: Naruto Next Generations’ Himawari Uzumaki, Shoko Nishimiya in A Silent Voice, Ushiwakamaru in Fate/Grand Order, Shinobu Kochou in Demon Slayer are her other works.

Nobuhiko Okamoto

Nobuhiko Okamoto is a Japanese voice actor and singer who is part of the Pro-Fit organization. At the 3rd Seiyu Awards, he was named Best New Actor, and at the 5th Seiyu Awards, he was named Best Supporting Actor. Nobuhiko stated that he has always been a great admirer of Slam Dunk and that the character Rukawa was so awesome that he wanted to be just like him. He has voiced Yū Nishinoya in Haikyu!!, Katsuki Bakugo in My Hero Academia, Ghiaccio in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Karma Akabane in Assassination Classroom, Isaac “Zack” Foster in Angels of Death.

Kenta Miyake

Kenta Miyake born August 23, 1977, in Okinawa Prefecture is a voice actor and narrator from Japan who works with 81 Produce. Miyake dreamed of becoming a voice actor as a teenager in the hopes of meeting an actress he adored and wanted to work with. He joined the talent agency 81 Produce after graduating from the Amusement Media Research Institute. He voiced All Might in My Hero Academia, Cocytus in Overlord, and Mike in Attack on Titan.
