Selecting a strong character from any Shonen is a difficult task. This becomes apparent when there are multiple strong characters from both sides of the river. Today, we are talking about the ten strongest characters from Demon Slayer. Now, most of you might believe that Tanjiro is the strongest character in the series, and you might be right, on your own terms. But other strong characters need equal representation in the series. So without any further ado, here the ten strongest characters in Demon Slayer. Fans could have argued on the ranking of the characters so this list is in no particular order.
Susamaru

While counting the strongest characters in Demon Slayer, the demons need more credit because they are equally strong, and Susamaru is one on the next level for speed, agility, and strength. Her battle against Nezuko was a sight to see, and even though she alone couldn’t have done a lot of damage, her alliance with Yahaba was effective, and she battled against three demon slayers and one demon in a handicap match. Also, she was once a human in her previous life, but Muzan implanted her with a desire to become a part of the Twelve Demon Moons.
Rui

Many fans wouldn’t agree with Rui being a stronger character, but his willpower makes him a stronger demon regardless of his moon rank. As Muzan’s favorite ally, Rui is blessed with the ability to create demons at his will, and we all know how close he was to kill Tanjiro and Nezuko in season 1. With all respect to his spider ability, Rui is one of the strongest characters in the series, and he is the only character who took down 20 demon slayer recruits all alone. If it wasn’t for Nezuko, our protagonist could have died at the hands of Rui.
Iguro Obanai

Iguro Obanai is the most skilled swordsman in the entire Demon Slayer Corps team. He uses an inhuman level of strength and agility and calling him only a mere swordsman is a shame. Oguro awoke his Demon Slayer mark while fighting with Muzan, and awakening granted him new powers and strength that led him to multiple victories in his fight against stronger demons. Without a doubt, Iguro Obanai deserves a raise in rank. He is capable of taking on upper moon demons on his own. What a badass!
Tanjiro Kamado

As the protagonist of the series, Tanjiro Kamado goes through multiple character development, and he is undoubtedly the strongest demon slayer the world has ever known. Even though he is far from the levels of Gyomei Himejima, and Giyu Tomioka, the young demon slayer moves with emotions and protects what’s important to him. Tanjiro Kamado has proved his worth several times, and he deserves all the praise. His bond with his half-demon sister empowers him with unlimited strength and will power, making him an extremely reliable brother and a top-tier Demon Slayer.
Yoriichi Tsugikuni

Demon Slayer fans who are familiar with Yoriichi Tsugikuni know how strong he is and why he is considered the strongest demon Slayer of all time. His mere name was enough to scare the strongest demons in the enemy territories. Since childhood, Yoriichi was able to defeat strong demons, and he was considered a prodigy by the elder people of the nearby villages. Yoriichi Tsugikuni was born with the Demon Slayer Mark and surpassed his brother as a Demon Slayer at a very young age. Even though he a supporting character, Yoriichi Tsugikuni made his mark in the series as the coolest Demon Slayer.
Giyu Tomioka

Giyu, who is considered a socially awkward character in the series, holds up to his reputation as the cool minded Demon Slayer in the Demon Slayer Corps. He possesses the Breath of Water style, and he has mastered this technique to the utmost perfection. One thing that the main pillars mastered in the show is their particular styles. In the case of Giyu Tomioka, his cool-headed skills, and fast reflexes made him one of the best fighters, and a perfectionist of Breath of Water style in the vast world of pillars.
Kyojuro Rengoku

Ladies, here is the husbando you’ve been looking for the longest time. Kyojuro Rengoku, being the humble guy of the Demon Slayer series, is the wielder of the Breath of Flames technique. He can easily fight the upper moon demons without breaking a sweat, and in the infamous train arc, Kyojuro saved 200 people while fighting with a strong demon simultaneously. An excellent leader, and a humble soul, Kyojuro Rengoku is the best demon slayer in the series. Due to his nature and abilities, the Demon Slayer Corps respect Kyojuro Rengoku as a fighter and a man of honor.
Tengen Uzui

The strongest sound pillar of Demon Slayer Corps, Tengen Uzui, originated from the worlds of Shinobi, and he was destined to become one of them. But his ideologies created a distance between him and his father, who was the sole member of the Shinobi world. According to Tengen, using people as tools is not a humane choice, and he neglected the path his father chooses for him. With his impeccable skills and willingness to help others, Tengen Uzui joined the Demon Slayer Corps to defeat demons with his impeccable Breath of Sound technique.
Gyomei Himejima

Without a doubt, Gyomei Himejima can top any charts in terms of power and strength. Gyomei uses a different kind of weapon, plus he is blind, which makes him super attentive and dangerous. Unlike other demon slayers, Gyomei wields the Breath of Stone style, which is considered extremely rare inside the Demon Slayer world. Even though he didn’t make many appearances in episodes, the upper moon demons acknowledged Gyomeia’s fighting style and even considered him the strongest Demon Slayer to appear in 300 years.
Muzan Kibutsuji

The antagonist of the Demon Slayer series, Muzan Kibutsuji is the epitome of evil. He is the only creator/father of the demons and feared by both demons and demon slayer alike. While he works in the shadows, his ability to remotely communicate with demons makes him a higher being and something to be feared off. His ruthlessness is on another level, and while he likes to kill demon slayer like flies, Muzan doesn’t hesitate to kill demons as well. This savage act is apparent enough to believe that he is above the levels of both demons & humans and a force to be reckoned with.
