Hey, guys welcome back to Animeindia, and today we are going to list the top 5 most popular anime series on streaming services available in India. This list will have anime series that are legally available in India. This list is backed by data (sources will be provided at the end). Lets begin!!
5. Naruto
Naruto is undoubtedly one of the most popular and loved anime series around the world and the same is true for the Indian audience as well. This anime series brings many good childhood memories. Naruto series exceed the popularity of One Piece in India based on the fact as it was telecasted on Indian television in regional language dub longer than One Piece.

It tells the story of Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja who seeks recognition from his peers and dreams of becoming the Hokage, the leader of his village. The series in full of action with ninja arts and humor.

4. Death Note
Next on our list is Death note and I think everyone knows it because it is a doorway to the anime world. I also give Death Note as a suggestion to those who want to start watching anime. The series is short compared to some others, big 3 (One Piece, Naruto, Bleach) has way more episodes but Death note story provides you a sense of completion and for many people it has a perfect ending.

Light Yagami (Tatsuya Fujiwara) is a normal and undistinguished college student, that is, until he discovers a strange notebook lying on the ground. He soon discovers that the notebook has magical powers: if someone’s name is written on it while the writer imagines that person’s face, they will die. Intoxicated with his new divine power, Light kills those he deems unworthy to live. But a mysterious detective known only as L (Ken’ichi Matsuyama) decides to end his reign. This series is like a mental chess b/w protagonist and antagonist. I highly recommend you to watch it. You brain will burst.

3. Seven deadly sins
People will question why it is so above on the list? and to those, my answer is that reports claim it to be the most popular anime on Netflix around the world ( India as well), but our data sources give some other stats. Despite that Seven deadly sins have huge popularity in India as well. The story is just heart-melting, lovers that can not meet, are separated for eternity.

The Seven Deadly Sins were once an active group of knights in the Britannia region, disbanding after they allegedly plotted to overthrow the Kingdom of Liones. Their supposed defeat came at the hands of the Holy Knights, but rumors persisted that they were still alive. Ten years later, the Holy Knights staged a coup and captured the king, becoming the new tyrannical rulers of the kingdom. The third princess, Elizabeth, begins a journey to find the Seven Deadly Sins and request their help to reclaim the kingdom. The series has some awesome action fight scenes and great humor as well.
Seven deadly sins is available in India on Netflix.
2. Naruto Shippūden
Naruto just wants to win in every anime list. The Sequel to the original Naruto takes story to a next level. In my personal opinion, the series is on second support based on the fact that it’s all 14 seasons are legally available in India and are free to Watch.

Naruto Shippuden is the second Naruto anime series that follows the titular hero on his quest to become the Hokage. Unlike the first series, Naruto is now older and has new teachers to help him on his adventure. At the same time, he faces the greatest threats to the five shinobi nations and must deal with the loss of someone whom he considers a brother. While the original series was full of serious problems, Shippuden ticked everything off a bit, thrusting Naruto into a world of war, death, and betrayal. He is no longer a child and his gloves have been removed.

1. Attack On Titan
The most popular anime series on Indian streaming platforms is nonother than Attack On Titan. This series just takes creativity to next level with animation, story, music, and emotions. The story is beyond right and wrong it evolves into more about fights b/w ideologies. In India, it is undoubtedly one of the most talked-about anime series by anime content creators and anime fans on social media platforms (demographic age is mostly above 16). Even Shwetabh Gangwar has many times talked about this anime series.

Set in a fantasy world, humanity is on the brink of extinction by mindless giants and man-eaters known as Titans. In defense, all of humanity retreated to a civilization contained within three concentric 50-meter walls: Maria, Rosa, and Sina. In 845, after nearly a century of relative peace within the walls, a 60-meter “Colossal” Titan materialized at the outermost gate and destroyed it, giving way to hordes of smaller Titans. Witnessing the fullness of Titan’s horror firsthand, a young and tenacious Eren Jaeger vows to rid the world of all Titans and regain freedom for humanity. He is joined by his adoptive sister, Mikasa Ackerman, and his friend, Armin Arlert, as they set out to fulfill this shared dream.
