After a cliffhanger ending in September 2021, fans have been eagerly awaiting this continuation since the announcement shortly after the finale of the inaugural season, which was crafted by C2C and debuted in July the same year.

Crunchyroll, the renowned streaming platform, has secured the rights to air the upcoming season. For the uninitiated, “Tsukimichi” spins the tale of Makoto Misumi, an ordinary teenager who finds himself in another realm expected to play the role of a ‘hero.’ Yet, facing rejection from the world’s goddess due to his looks, he’s cast to its fringes, embarking on a journey filled with dragons, orcs, and magic, seeking a fresh start in a world that has otherwise forsaken him.

This captivating narrative springs from the brilliant mind of Kei Azumi, penned in the original light novel series and beautifully illustrated by Mitsuaki Matsumoto. Originally serialized on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2012, it found a new home at AlphaPolis in 2016. Fans can also delve into the “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy” manga adaptation available on AlphaPolis’s manga portal, with Kotora Kino delivering its stunning artistry.

Mark your calendars! “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy Season 2” is set to captivate audiences once again, launching on Crunchyroll this January 2024.
