TV Anime Adaptation Announced for ‘Embracing Evil in History’ Light Novels

Jyun Hayase, the series illustrator, commemorated the revelation with a special artwork

The narrative revolves around Alicia, a girl who possesses an aversion to conventional and virtuous heroines. Her desires materialize when she is reborn as a villainess in her beloved otome games. Her aspiration? To ascend as the most notorious and infamous villainess in world history. Ironically, her attempts at villainy seem to garner the affections of none other than the prince himself.

Embracing Evil in History

The inception of the series dates back to December 2018, when О̄kido introduced it on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let’s Become Novelists) platform. Collaborating with illustrator Hayase, О̄kido officially launched the light novel series in 2020. The fourth installment reached readers in Japan in September 2022, with the fifth volume scheduled for release this Saturday.

Hoshi embarked on the manga adaptation within Kadokawa’s B’s-LOG COMIC in September 2020. As of now, the manga’s third compiled volume was published by Kadokawa in September 2022, with the fourth volume set to hit the shelves this Saturday.

Remarkably, the series boasts a circulation of over 850,000 copies, encompassing both physical and digital formats.
