On Wednesday, a newly launched website unveiled exciting news about the television anime adaptation of Suu Morishita’s manga, “A Sign of Affection” (Yubisaki to Renren).

The website not only showcased a captivating teaser visual and promotional video for the anime but also disclosed details regarding the main cast and staff. Additionally, it confirmed that the highly anticipated anime would premiere in January 2024.

Morishita additionally created an illustration to mark the occasion.
The anime’s main cast includes:
- Yū Miyazaki as Itsuomi Nagi
- Sumire Morohoshi as Yuki Itose
Yūta Murano, known for his work on Kakushigoto and Brave Beats, takes on the dual role of storyboarding and directing the anime at Ajia-do. Yoko Yonaiyama, credited with Uma Yuru and Ya Boy Kongming!, serves as the overseer and scriptwriter for the series.
Kasumi Sakai, acclaimed as the Animation Director of Love Live! Sunshine!!, brings her talent to designing the characters. Lastly, Yukari Hashimoto, renowned for her compositions in March comes in like a lion, Komi Can’t Communicate, and Am I Actually the Strongest?, lends her musical prowess to the project.

Morishita kick-started the manga’s serialization in Kodansha’s Dessert magazine during July 2019. Kodansha has set the publication date for the ninth compiled volume of the manga as July 13.
In 2020, Kodansha USA Publishing acquired the license for the manga and made it available digitally. The first volume of the manga was subsequently released in print by Kodansha USA in February 2021, and fans can anticipate the arrival of the seventh volume on October 24. Kodansha USA provides the following synopsis to encapsulate the manga’s narrative:
Yuki, a usual university student, finds her life centered around friends, social media, and trendy bargains. However, a serendipitous train encounter introduces her to Itsuomi-san, a friend-of-a-friend and fellow student, who begins to broaden her horizons.
