UFO Robo Grendizer, the third installment of Go Nagai’s Mazinger giant robot franchise, debuted in 1975 through an anime and manga adaptation. The anime gained popularity in the United States as part of Jim Terry’s Force Five project and went on to inspire three anime films. In France, the anime was known as Goldorak when it premiered in 1978, significantly contributing to the rise and widespread recognition of anime in the country.
