Yen Press is responsible for the English releases of both the light novel series and its manga adaptation. The story revolves around the existence of powerful mages called Witches, capable of wielding cataclysmic power. Oscar, the crown prince of the influential kingdom of Farsas, faces a curse that prevents him from fathering an heir. In his quest to break the curse, he seeks out Tinasha, renowned as the most powerful witch on the continent. To reach her, he must climb her tower, rumored to grant the wish of anyone who conquers it. However, when Oscar finally reaches the summit, his request surprises Tinasha—he asks her to become his bride.
Furumiya initially serialized the novels on the “Shōsetsuka ni Narō” website in September 2012, gaining immense popularity. The novels, featuring captivating illustrations by chibi, were subsequently published in print by Kadokawa in January 2019. Notably, the series claimed the top spot in the prestigious 2020 edition of Takarajimasha’s Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! (This Light Novel Is Amazing!) guidebook.
