Urusei Yatsura Manga by Rumiko Takahashi Gets Anime Adaptation, 2022

Today, The creator of Urusei Yatsura Manga by Rumiko Takahashi announced their upcoming TV anime adaptation. They released a Full Page New Year greeting card and also announced the Urusei Yatsura TV anime. The TV anime will be released this year, 2022 and it will air in the Noitamina programming block.

Furthermore, the advertisement is physical paper and not digital prints. However, in that Ad, they list a website that will soon publish on the internet along with a promotional video. The publisher of Urusei Yatsura Manga is Viz Media from Spring 2019, and here is the synopsis of the story below: 

Revisit the acclaimed romantic comedy about an unlucky human boy who meets a beautiful space alien princess in this large trim size edition with all-new translations and new cover designs. In the series, Ataru Moroboshi’s supernatural encounters with the feminine kind all start when he’s chosen to play tag with an alien princess named Lum who invades the earth on her UFO.

Ataru has ten days to touch Lum’s horns or aliens will take over the earth! As it turns out, the game of tag is only the beginning of Ataru’s troubles, as he continues to attract strange encounters with otherworldly beings like beautiful snow spirit Oyuki and the sexy crow goblin Princess Kurama!

Do you know that the Urusei Yatsura Manga already has many anime and OVAs in its franchise? The first anime adaptation was released in 1981 and it ended in 1986, along with several films, and OVA.
