TWIN ENGINE announced that the Vinland Saga anime series is confirmed for a second season. The announcement comes on the second anniversary of the television anime series that airs in Japan.
The return of staff Shūhei Yabuta as director and Takahiko Abiru as character designer were also confirmed.
Vinland Saga won the Anime of the Year award during the 6th Anime Trending Awards in 2019. WIT Studio was in charge of animation production for the first season with Shūhei Yabuta as director, Hiroshi Seko as a series composer, Yutaka Yamada as composer music, and Takahiko Abiru as character designer.
Sentai Filmworks will launch home video in North America later this year. Amazon Prime Video is currently streaming the first season and describes the show as:

The original manga series is written by Makoto Yukimura and published in Monthly Afternoon magazine by Kodansha in Japan. Kodansha USA publishes the manga series in English.
