VINLAND SAGA’s Yukimura to Debut at San Diego Comic-Con 2023!

VINLAND SAGA enthusiasts, brace yourselves for an unforgettable summer! The mastermind behind your favorite Viking epic, Makoto Yukimura, is set to make his debut appearance on U.S. soil at the much-anticipated Comic-Con International 2023.

Kodansha USA, the publisher behind VINLAND SAGA, has announced that Yukimura-sensei will be gracing the event, which is scheduled to take place in San Diego from July 20-23. This marks a significant milestone as it will be Yukimura’s first-ever appearance at a U.S. event.

The original VINLAND SAGA manga, a gripping tale of Vikings, valor, and vengeance, is serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon manga magazine. An English language version is also available from Kodansha USA. The highly acclaimed VINLAND SAGA SEASON 2, directed by Shuhei Yabuta at MAPPA, is currently streaming on Crunchyroll.

Set around the end of the millennium, the story follows the Vikings, a mighty but atrocious tribe, known for their conquests. The protagonist, Thorfinn, the son of the greatest warrior, spent his childhood on the battlefield, seeking the land of reverie called Vinland. It’s a tale of a true warrior in an age of turmoil.
