Voice actor Yasumichi Kushida, who was well-known for his work in Western animated series and Hollywood films, has passed away at the age of 46. His talent management agency, Mausu Promotion, announced the news on April 6th. Kushida’s family held a private funeral to mourn his passing.


Kushida was a highly respected voice actor in Japan, having lent his voice to many popular Western animated series. He was particularly known for his role as the voice of Marvel character The Hulk in Japanese dubs of various shows, including Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H., Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers Assemble, and The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Fellow voice actor Kenichirō Matsuda pointed out that Kushida was probably the voice actor who shouted “Hulk Smash” the most times ever in Japan.

Apart from his work in Western animated series, Kushida was also prolific in Japanese dubs of Hollywood films and American television series. He was known for his ability to bring characters to life through his voice, and his dedication to his craft made him a well-respected figure in the industry.
