Aniplex has initiated the streaming of the initial five minutes from the debut episode of the anime adaptation based on Wookjakga’s Korean web comic, “A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special” (known as “Kikansha no Mahō wa Tokubetsu Desu” in Japanese), this past Saturday.

Additionally, Aniplex has treated viewers to a promotional video featuring the character Azrest Kingscrown.

Yen Press has undertaken the English release of the series, offering the following storyline synopsis:
“In a time where the Shadow World reigns supreme, and the majority of humanity has faced annihilation, a valiant party of six heroes endeavors to safeguard the world, though their efforts culminate in failure. However, magician Desir Herman is granted a second chance when he awakens to discover that he has been transported thirteen years into the past! Now, the responsibility falls squarely on his shoulders to reassemble his party and prevent the most catastrophic event in human history from unfolding!”
TThe anime’s cast includes:

Taishi Kawaguchi helms the anime at Arvo Animation, while Takamitsu Kouno, known for works like “She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man,” “Absolute Duo,” and “We Without Wings – Under the Innocent Sky,” takes the reins in crafting and supervising the anime’s scripts. Hiromi Kato, recognized for her character design work in “Violinist of Hamelin,” “Kobato.,” and “Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut,” lends her artistic prowess to shape the characters.
Eiji Iwase serves as the art director, with Masahiro Kama contributing to the art assistance. Art design credits go to Kazushige Kanehira, Akihiro Hirasawa, Yasuhiro Okumura, and Tomoyasu Fujise. Hideki Imaizumi captures the visual brilliance as the compositing director of photography, while Kenta Higashiohji composes the captivating melodies, known for their work on “Pole Princess!!.”
Shōtarō Hashiguchi’s expertise shines through in prop design, while Aiko Matsuyama skillfully paints the anime’s vibrant palette as the color key artist. Ryoko Kaneshige artfully assembles the scenes in the editing room. Takatoshi Hamano takes on the role of sound director, with Yasumasa Koyama in charge of the meticulously crafted sound effects. Sound production is attributed to Magic Capsule.
